CAP (Computed Analog Pattern) Tool is a Windows program to create arbitrary waveform generator files. People can upload the files to AWG hardware with the help of a USB flash drive or include the files in automation programs. When it outputs a data file - like .rdf. .h, or .csv - CAP Tool also creates a simple text file (extension .dsc) with a description of the arbitrary pattern. This description includes both scaling parameters and the mathematical expression used to define the waveform. After loading the .dcs into a text editor (like Notepad), you can copy and paste the defining expression into whatever report you need to produce.
